Guest speaker:
Mary Ann Wadosky spoke about State Police Sergeant Thomas O'Connor who is ill with cancer. We are adopting him and his family for Christmas. There is a Dinner Dance with the Marcel's and DJ Jeff Allen at Westmoreland Country Club on Friday November 21 for this cause. $50 at the door or $45 in advance. Call Susie at 724-744-1364. We are also going to email a wish list of items for the family for purchase by members of the Fins. They are also selling basket of cheer tickets for $5 each or 3/$10.
Club Business:
Website revisions have been made by Evan Karelitz, one of our newer members. Check us out at www.steelcityfins.org. It's more fun than ever!
We again need a place to store our jail. If you have any extra storage room, please let Missy know.
T-Shirts are available at the meeting and will be sold by Evan and Kathy. We will soon be able to order t-shirts online.

All of the public areas of the hotel are now non smoking. Outdoor smoking is permitted.

Please save your baskets and bring to next meeting as well as donations for baskets of cheer or other items.

Cabin Fever is approaching! You can now call and make room reservations as the Holiday Inn. Call 724-846-3700 and ask for in-house reservations and book for room facing the pool. Cost is $99/night.
Incorporation status report:
Don Fereday reviewed the minor changes in bylaws to coincide with our
incorporation and we voted to accept those changes. Tom Kessinger is
still working with Don to get all papers filed.
Committee Reports:
Membership Report - Mary Cortazzo mentioned that we have a few people who still owe 4th quarter dues. First quarter dues are also now payable.
Treasurer Report - Don Fereday reported that the old checking account will need to be closed as soon as all checks clear, as we have opened a new one because of the incorporation.
Volunteer Report:
Missy Fereday and Mary Cortazzo are now handling the volunteer duties, and will focus on one or two events per month. If you have volunteered your time and would like to have it recorded or if you have an event you would like to help out please send an email to:

Our next event is Thanksgiving in the Tropics at Gilda's House on Smallman Street on Wednesday November 12. We are cooking and serving a Thanksgiving dinner to families suffering with ovarian cancer. Darlene Bittner is asking for volunteers to help serve and food donations of stuffing balls and desserts. Please email dardar92850@yahoo.com if you can help.
We will also volunteer to wrap Christmas gifts at the Mall at Robinson for Paws for a Cause. Penny Layne needs volunteers through the month of December. If you are available for a 3 hour shift, please email: pphcvolunteering@yahoo.com.

Toys for Tots – Byron and DeDe Ruth are collecting our toys for the Marines and will also do so at the December meeting. Bring your new unwrapped toy.

Kelly Murphy was assisting a refugee family from Nepal, but the response has been wonderful, and they do not need to accept any more donations.
Social Committee:
The SCFins Christmas party will be at the Buckhead Saloon on December 6 from 6 - 9. Entertainment by John McDonald. $2 Miller Lites and $2 well drinks. $15/person to cover entertainment and appetizers. Please respond by November 21 so we can get a count to Mary at nacgram@aol.com.
